CAAB Offers Emotional Support to Staff Amidst COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on mental health as people struggle to cope with so much uncertainty and turmoil. The silver lining is that organizations, such as Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB) have stepped up efforts to focus on the wellbeing of its employees. The Authority has engaged a renowned Motswana Counsellor   Dr Gloria Maseko to provide counselling to all staff members to help cope with stressful situations brought by COVID-19.

COVID-19 Extension of Validity of Licences

INTRODUCTION

The Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB) wishes to inform the industry of some decisions taken in order to optimally serve the civil aviation industry during the state of emergency and lockdown period when the government is implementing measures to prevent and contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Because of the pandemic and travel restrictions arising thereof, training requirements of Cabin Crew Members, Flight Operations Officers, Air Traffic Controllers and Aircraft Maintenance Engineers conduct of checks have been affected.

Airport Revised Operating Times

Due to the reduction in Traffic volumes at the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana Managed airports, the CAAB has, with immediate effect, revised their Airport Operation Times as follows:

Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana Informs Stakeholders that the following Aviation Services will continue to be provided during the State of Emergency declared by HE, The President of the Republic of Botswana during the COVID-19 Lockdown.
