Gaborone, 01st September 2021: Management today honoured its Administrative personnel by hosting them for tea, to mark the Secretary’s Day, September 1.
The CAAB executive management team served tea to the treasured staff and handed out goodie bags to appreciate their significant role in the Authority.
Administrative Professionals’ Day recognizes and celebrates the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, and other office professionals for their contributions to the workplace.
When addressing Personal Assistants on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Air Navigation Services, Mr Silas Silas emphasized their valuable contribution to CAAB.
He said the officers’ ability to handle multiple tasks make them valuable to the Authority. He commended the officers for their remarkable work and told them “they were worthy of a celebration”.
The day in the life of an administrative professional is varied and some of their responsibilities include managing appointments, drafting letters and memos, booking business trips, coordinating appointments and planning meetings. Their organizational skills mean they pinpoint information quickly and keep the executive on schedule.
Administrative Professional Day is celebrated annually on different dates across the world. In Africa, the day is celebrated on the first Wednesday of September and this year it coincided with Spring Day.
