i By a letter dated 31 January 1977 from the office of the President, the Government of Botswana informed the depositary that it considered itself bound by the provisions of the Warsaw Convention of 1929 which, before Botswana became independent, had been extended t its territory by the United Kingdom on 2 September 1952.
 
ii Botswana made a declaration in accordance with Article XIII, paragraph 2, of the Convention, that Botswana is not a producer State of explosives.
